We love it when brides and grooms ask for something different, and our unique and exclusive package upgrade, "CLUB WED" is one way to make that happen to rap up our Memorial Day weekend wedding double header. We returned to Sinkland farm in Christiansburg to setup ceremony sound, dance lighting, sound, and DJ for Amanda and Gregory's Sunday wedding. Only this time, the whole "CLUB WED" concept got real when they had us setup in a part of the barn we have never once setup in the several dozen times we have worked weddings at Sinkland farm. With a highly curated music request list provided from the bride, and several one of a kind, and custom made DJ mixes, routines, and remixes, especially for Amanda and Greg, "CLUB WED" was really, "CLUB AMANDA & GREG." Just take a look at that second story view from out DJ booth. It's like the barn was made to put the DJ here but never once used for it. Well done Amanda, and congrats to the newly weds! Also note, we may have borrowed a prop from the photobooth and DJ'd with it on for a bit :-).
We started off our double header wedding weekend at the beautiful venue, Nesselrod and there almost complete covered reception area. From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the night of dancing, latin music, and oh yeah, BOXY BOOTH! We were on duty on all accounts for Joe and Gabrielle's wonderful start of summer wedding. We posted a few photos below, but make sure to visit their Boxy Booth gallery, of if you don't have time, just watch their Video montage from all the Boxy Booth madness. (Embedded below). Did we mention Unicorns were a ongoing theme at this wedding? Yeah, we love our clients too.
You know its going to be a good time when we come ready to party with the DV-E's exclusive, "CLUB WED." It was a amazing night that the rain couldn't ruin, with friends and family from all over the country there to help celebrate Jessy and "Jeter's" wedding uptime the Center in the Square roof top in beautiful downtown Roanoke. #HappilyeverJeter!!!
You can check out even more great photos from our friends at Swell Booth and the ever talented Jared Ladia. Those links are below our equally as awesome iPhone photos ;-).
You know it was going to be a fun night when Trey and Lauren entered the reception hall do a custom edit of Ms. Jackson by OutKast that we made for the couple (insiders tip: her new last name is Jackson). We went down to setup both sound and lighting at one of the prettiest views a golf corse could offer. With Dancing all night, fried pickles, and a massive candy bar, it was a wonderful night helping celebrate with the Jame's and Jackson family.
Johathan and Stacy kicked off our wedding season with the first wedding of the year, and they couldn't have had a more amazing event. We provided the sound, DJing, and ceremony audio where the bride and groom chose likely one of the best acoustic renditions of the main theme song from Jurassic Park. With amazing family made Asian dishes, to the sunset over looking nearby downtown Roanoke, to the beautiful venue of Braeloch. This wedding was such a great start to the year.
Our team tried to play it cool during the booking process, however once Allison & Seth decided to have DV Entertainment DJ their wedding reception at the Virginia Museum of Transportation, we then felt safe to completely geek out on how childishly excited we were to be working for them in the auto display room. The transportation museum in Roanoke is one of those venues that will always be amazing to walk into. You are literally in the company of man man giants like steam locomotive 611, and 1218. Lets not overlook the awesomeness that was happening in the reception area, where guests stat to dine beside an array of automobiles from our past, and yes, even a DeLorean.
Although our setup was simple, we added a bit of color pop the the back wall and Goodyear sign behind the DJ table, and keep the party jumping all night long. We can't thank Allison and Seth enough for letting us be apart of their wedding day, it was defiantly a memorable night.
We're happy to start our very own blog at the start of the 2015 wedding season. You'll be able to see fun pictures and scenes from events we work, and even some recap videos.
We'll also share all the great things going on in the event and wedding industry throughout Virginia and nationally, as well as some great tips to help you plan your event with ease.
Thanks for stopping by and we can't wait to start share all the fun.
