Jenn & Jonathan's Vineyard wedding, Brix and Columns Vineyard, McGaheysville, VA

Oh where to start. Jenn and Jonathan booked with us almost a year in advance and we got to spend a lot of time during the planning stage, meeting up at the venue, as well as getting to see each other at another wedding they were guests at! When it came to their wedding day, their guests were welcomed with sunny, blue skies, and some much care and personal attention to both the couple, and everyone as a whole. Every wedding we work is special, but sometimes you’re pulled into couples world a little closer than others and well, it feels personal which makes things memorable for nothing more than getting to be at, and help a couple celebrate their wedding day. Also, have you ever seen a bagel station?!?!?! I hadn’t until their wedding day and it was pretty awesome. Congrats J&J. Thanks for having us.

Zac & Erica's Halloween wedding, Castalia Farm, Keswick, VA

We’ve worked a lot of events over the years, but never a wedding ceremony and reception on Halloween where everyone showed up in costume, and we mean EVERYONE! It was kind of amazing and really set the tone for who Erica and Zac are as a couple. Zac was our main point of contact and we couldn’t have asked for a kinder, personable, warm human to help plan their wedding. We went above and beyond to help design and layout a custom large light show for the dancefloor fully fitted with haze so you could see the lights doing their thing. That is a rare opportunity both for couples who want something over the top and different, and a venue that allowed it. Either way, their wedding was a blast! We couldn’t have ask for a better day. Congrats to Erica and Zac.

Cody & Leah's Wedding, House Mountain Inn, Lexington, VA

There has to be a special reaction a guests has when they drive up the long, steep road to House Mountain Inn for the first time. It dips off a country road and takes you up to the unknown, gifting you with breaktaking views and tranquility. If there is any state of mind a person can hope to put their guests into just before saying I-Do in front of them, this has to be that hope. And does it translate to one heck of a time that Cody and Leah’s guest had all night. Check out a few photos from this wedding. On top of always enjoying working weddings at House Mountain Inn just outside of Lexington, VA, working with our good friend Stephanie, superwomen, super wedding planner, coordinator, and owner of Diamond Events. It was a good time for all, congrats to the newly weds!

Tara & Josh's Wedding, Lydia Mountain Lodge, Standardville, VA

A little bit of rain wasn’t going to stop this wedding from happening with all the excitement, love, and happiness Tara and Josh and their guests had bottled up, ready to let out at the right moment. And oh did that moment come as soon as they said I do! We were there for their ceremony and reception and helped them ring in their first day together as husband and wife in style. Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day at a stunning venue. Congrats again!

Tim and Dana's Vineyard Barn wedding, Faithbrooke Barn and Vineyards, Luray, VA

It’s summer a wonderful time for a wedding? And spending time outsides, in the vines, throwing parties in barns? We think so and so did Tim and Dana! Their wedding at Faithbrooke Barn in Luray, Virginia was about as summer wedding as they come. From dancing inside, to playing corn hole, and dancing outside. To drinks and food with friends and family inside, to drinks and food outside with friends and family, it was perfect. We ran sound for their ceremony, and DJ’ed their reception. It was a wonderful day.

Congrats to the newly weds!

Christopher & Jeremy's Wedding, Bold Rock, Nellysford, VA

What a wonderful start to the event season! Working with Christopher and Jeremy over several months to plan out their amazing reception was a absolute pleasure and their vision was a wonderful channel for our team to nail, not only the music playlist, but the lighting design we did for the entire (we mean the whole back space there at Bold Rock Cindery) to really set the mood for their wedding day. We also designed and programed a custom light show for their dance floor, such a rare thing for weddings, and a challenge we were ready for! All of the large and small details really showed their personality and made this quite the unique and fun wedding. The pop-pie for food, the food trucks with tacos, fish and chips, and other fair-like food, and the ice cream sandwich toast! It was such a wonderful night of dancing, food, drinks, and love. Congrats you guys!

Zac & Laura's JMU Duke wedding, Festival Ballroom, JMU, Harrisonburg, VA

- WRITTEN BY LEAD WEDDING DJ, DAVID VERDE

I never pick favorites, honestly. Each couple I get to work with is amazing in their own way and makes looking forward to the weekend easy and exciting. It's when couples take the time to dig around to find out about me, my DJing style beyond your average wedding (like some of my DJ mixes and mashups floating around the internet somewhere) do things get really exciting. There are a lot of other DJs out there, but from my point of view, when people appreciate everything that is involved with this profession it makes me thankful for what I do for a living.

At any rate, when I met with Zac & Laura at Festival Ballroom inside the Festival Conference & Student Center on the JMU campus in Harrisonburg, I think it was pretty clear we all clicked and DJing their wedding needed to happen. The then, soon to be bride mentioning she just finished working out listening to one of my mixes was just a bonus. What was great is they took advantage of my somewhat regular visits to Harrisonburg to meet several times in person, as well as Video calls to make sure all the details were ready to go come their wedding day. Not that phone calls and email can't do the same thing, but it's always nice to get to know the couple a little bit more that chatting in person offers.

Zac and Laura, both grads of JMU couldn't have picked a more perfect location for their purple painted reception. Even Duke Dog showed up! We provided our largest PA system to fill the large ballroom with as much sound as possible, as well as our full turntable setup Club Wed package to really fill in the space well. What was amazing is the room never once felt too large as Zac and Laura' guests came ready to party and kept the dance floor full all night. It was a splendid evening for sure.

Congrats again, Zac and Laura!!!!

Elisa & Bill's Wedding at Moss Vineyard, Dyke VA

- WRITTEN BY LEAD WEDDING DJ, DAVID VERDE

My team and I have been working weddings every weekend since April and often times when arriving to a venue we've never worked before we ask the question, "who puts a venue at the end of the really long gravel road that leads to nowhere?" Though I promise it's more of a running joke because these gravel roads lead to slices of paradise that you didn't even know could exist. Moss Vineyard is this in every single regard. Owned and operated by Barry and Ellen Moss, their vineyard shares the same property and views as their personal home (and crazy sweet sweet swimming pool I must add). Once getting settled It was not hard to understand why Elisa and Bill chose Moss at the location for the wedding day. Elisa and I have been communicating for well over a year now since they booked me at the start of 2016, so the build up to this day was pretty long, but oh was it worth it.

I love all weddings, it's why I do what I do and never tire. However there is something sort of wonderful about very small weddings and getting this unadulterated invitation into their life for a day. In my world that is 50 people or less, and in Bill and Elisa's case, that was 38 of their dearest human beings. And oh were they all wonderful. Their ceremony took place at the end of the vines with honestly one of the sweetest ceremonies I've witnessed in my 15 years of working and DJing weddings. From the father of the bride Billy (who is my new favorite person I might add) who sang two songs, including Peter Gabrial's "Book of Love" with all the guests singing along, to their vows to each other to also help make their community better together, to even a little dancing, it was wonderful to watch. The dinner hand toasts from friends, siblings, and both sides parents, then dancing carried everyone into the night. The evening ended with everyone departing on a white school bus, and then all the vendors including the vineyard owners taking a break during breakdown and load out to watch the International Space Station fly over through the night sky. It was basiclly just a perfect day that I was so grateful to be apart of.

With that, we provided DJ services, our super high output compact PA system and ceremony sound support as well as audio support for the father of the bride who sung and played guitar.

To Elisa and Bill, their guests, family, and friends. Thank you for letting me be there for every joyous minute. Congrats to the bride and groom.

PS, if you look at the photos below and see the chef setting up the tables? Yes that is a table measure making each napkin setting the same in every way. Can we can talk about attention to detail? That's the next level love for your clients we love to see from other vendors.
