There has to be a special reaction a guests has when they drive up the long, steep road to House Mountain Inn for the first time. It dips off a country road and takes you up to the unknown, gifting you with breaktaking views and tranquility. If there is any state of mind a person can hope to put their guests into just before saying I-Do in front of them, this has to be that hope. And does it translate to one heck of a time that Cody and Leah’s guest had all night. Check out a few photos from this wedding. On top of always enjoying working weddings at House Mountain Inn just outside of Lexington, VA, working with our good friend Stephanie, superwomen, super wedding planner, coordinator, and owner of Diamond Events. It was a good time for all, congrats to the newly weds!
Charley and Aubrey found me quite early on in the planning phases of their wedding, which is quite rare since DJs are often the last to be booked. However they knew they were looking for just the right fit, and took the time to email, ask questions, chat on the phone, a video call or two, then also met in person which let our team really get to know Charley and Aubrey quite well. This also made waiting all year for their wedding excruciating as it became more like waiting for a friends wedding after spending so much time planning. It was well worth it as we also got to work with one of our favorite pro planners, Stephanie from Diamond Events. All that said, it was an amazing day at King Family Vineyards in Crozet as guests arrived to a fresh layer of snow on the grounds with the clouds breaking just in time for a fiery sunset. We pumped sound in the main room, we had sound in the bar area, we lite the dance floor. Once the dancing started, there was no stopping them, and this is just how we like it. Bonus points for helping make our last wedding of 2017 a massive party full of love, friendship, and good memories. It was wonderful.
Congrats to Aubrey and Charley!

What a wonderful day we had to celebrate the end of summer, by helping Zach and Melanie ring in their wedding day. It was sunny, mild, and beautiful course side at Spring Creek Golf Club in Gordonsville. Providing ceremony sound, and then bring the party to their reception, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening at this beautiful location. Congrats to Zach and Melanie!
After doing our pre-wedding walk through at Gaie Lea, I knew that Eric and Lindsay's wedding was going to be just as stunning as it was going to be fun. Let's just say they did not disappoint. From the amazingly touching poem written by Eric's college friend, to Lindsay's sister the matron of honors 3 minute rap-remix to a instrumental of the Fresh Prince of Belair theme music. Start to finish fully memorized without missing a beat, arguably the most amazing set of speeches I've seen in a very long time. This one October evening was one I'll remember for a while. I can't thank Lindsay and Eric for letting me be apart of their wedding day and helping them have a night to remember.
Below are some photos from that night, special thanks goes out to the amazing photographer of the night, Emily of Emily Sacra Photography for letting me share some of her amazing work here on my blog.
We love all the many venues we visit regularly, however Mountain Lake and Mary's Barn in Pembroke, VA is just one of our personal favorite places to visit for events, or just a weekend away. Melanie and Nick's wedding just reminded us why so many other people fall in love with this small place in the Virginia mountains and host their wedding. Congrats to Melanie and Nick, thanks for the yummy homemade wine favor!
We started off our double header wedding weekend at the beautiful venue, Nesselrod and there almost complete covered reception area. From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the night of dancing, latin music, and oh yeah, BOXY BOOTH! We were on duty on all accounts for Joe and Gabrielle's wonderful start of summer wedding. We posted a few photos below, but make sure to visit their Boxy Booth gallery, of if you don't have time, just watch their Video montage from all the Boxy Booth madness. (Embedded below). Did we mention Unicorns were a ongoing theme at this wedding? Yeah, we love our clients too.
You know its going to be a good time when we come ready to party with the DV-E's exclusive, "CLUB WED." It was a amazing night that the rain couldn't ruin, with friends and family from all over the country there to help celebrate Jessy and "Jeter's" wedding uptime the Center in the Square roof top in beautiful downtown Roanoke. #HappilyeverJeter!!!
You can check out even more great photos from our friends at Swell Booth and the ever talented Jared Ladia. Those links are below our equally as awesome iPhone photos ;-).
