What a wonderful day we had to celebrate the end of summer, by helping Zach and Melanie ring in their wedding day. It was sunny, mild, and beautiful course side at Spring Creek Golf Club in Gordonsville. Providing ceremony sound, and then bring the party to their reception, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening at this beautiful location. Congrats to Zach and Melanie!
There is something wonderful about being near the top of the skyline in the start city. People unknowingly going about their day down on the street while two come together to celebrate their first day together as husband and wife. That is how the day went for Melissa and Mike and their wedding at Center in the Square (now known as The Penthouse) in downtown Roanoke. We had a magically time with dancing, and clear skies, all to the backdrop of mountains and the city center, it was, magical.
Congrats again Mike & Melissa
Leading into our second to last wedding of the 2017 season, the brisk fall air and the mountain peaks of the valley fell in the background as the sunset for Mikey and Rachel's wedding at Six Penny Farm in McGaheysville just outside Harrisonburg. Starting the night off with a beautiful ceremony inside, in front of a warm, burning fireplace, all of their family and friends cheered and helped get the party started! We provided our largest PA system, which made perfect fit for the room and Mikey and Rachaels amazing indie, alt, and electronic playlist, a wonderful shift from the norm that complemented their personalities perfectly. I might add, that Mikey owns a local food truck Mashita in Harrisonburg, which with the help of his crew, he pulled double duty over seeing the catering for his own wedding! It’s also the reason why I got a small taste of his culinary skills and I’m not completely addicted to his food truck and eat there nearly every time I, or the crew passes through Harrisonburg. At any rate, we couldn’t have been more lucky to have got to DJ their wedding and had a amazing night helping them start of their married with a bang.
Congrats Mikey and Rachael!
We arrived to the city market in downtown Roanoke, quite excited for two reasons. 1, we got to finally work in the amazing Charter Hall, a space that always seems to avad us, and 2, we got to DJ Garrett and Lacey’s amazing fall wedding. One of the amazing things about Charter Hall is how easily is is completely transformed with some lighting, so we were enlisted by the now newly weds to do some LED uplighting installs and design to help bring all the decor touches together that they put together to decorate each table and the room itself. Started the room first laid out for their ceremony, the wedding party and their guests headed downstairs to the main market level for cocktail hour, while our team and the rest of the amazing vendors helped completely flip the room into their reception. Bonus points for one of our favorite humans and florists, Mark Frye from Creative Occasions handling all the stunning floral arrangements. Once all the guests returned, they finished dinner and kicked off the party with dancing, dancing, and more dancing, which we brought out our largest PA system to help fill that room with some party-worthy sound. It was a smashing good time.
We can’t thank Garrett and Lacey for trusting us for their wedding night and wish them the happiest first year of marriage. Congrats!

With the weather proving to be grey, cold, and windy, we arrived at Old Mill Farm in Bedford ready to do what we could to brighten the spirits of Megan, Nicholas, and their guests. Well we didn’t have to try to hard as we quickly shifted the ceremony from out, to inside the barn with help from the event planners. Then close friends of the bride and groom sang for them with accompaniment by acoustic guitar who completely set the tone for the night. As the ceremony finished, we quickly moved out setup back onto the stage, and following dinner, the lights came down and the Old Mill lit up with love and energy, and guests who danced the whole night. It was one of those days that proves that not even the worst of weather can stop two lovers in becoming one on their wedding day.
Congrats Megan and Nick! We couldn’t have asked for a better group to spend the last weekend of October with.
We love it when brides and grooms ask for something different, and our unique and exclusive package upgrade, "CLUB WED" is one way to make that happen to rap up our Memorial Day weekend wedding double header. We returned to Sinkland farm in Christiansburg to setup ceremony sound, dance lighting, sound, and DJ for Amanda and Gregory's Sunday wedding. Only this time, the whole "CLUB WED" concept got real when they had us setup in a part of the barn we have never once setup in the several dozen times we have worked weddings at Sinkland farm. With a highly curated music request list provided from the bride, and several one of a kind, and custom made DJ mixes, routines, and remixes, especially for Amanda and Greg, "CLUB WED" was really, "CLUB AMANDA & GREG." Just take a look at that second story view from out DJ booth. It's like the barn was made to put the DJ here but never once used for it. Well done Amanda, and congrats to the newly weds! Also note, we may have borrowed a prop from the photobooth and DJ'd with it on for a bit :-).
